Book Week programs in Ramin village, Chabahar / Teenagers to judge books
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the first round of a book reading competition, focusing on themes such as books and reading, discussions about books, critique and review of works, creative drama performances, book reading, and social activities, began in Mehr (October) and continues until the end of Aban (November). At the end of Book Week, the top individuals and groups from this reading competition will be honored.
Also, coinciding with the 33rd Book Week, selected books from the 13th Mehr Book Award festival will be unveiled with the presence of teenage judges, comprising girls aged 12 to 18 from Ramin village, and with the presence of Sarzamin Madari, a children’s and young adult author.
Among other special programs for these days is the inauguration of the first book exhibition in Ramin village, which will be held in collaboration with the House of Book Promotion in the book-loving village of Ramin, Chabahar, and across 10 schools in this village. This exhibition will provide an opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with new publications and strengthen the culture of reading in rural areas.
The 33rd Iranian Book Week will be held from the 24th to the 30th of Aban (November 1404 in the Persian calendar, 2025 CE) under the slogan “Let’s Read for Iran.”
