Seminary Scholars Welcome Seminary Book of the Year Conference / 1779 Works Received

Hujjat al-Islam Abbas Akbarpour Roshan, the secretary and executive director of the Seminary Book of the Year Conference, told Mehr News Agency correspondent: “Following the call for the 27th Seminary Book of the Year Conference, 1,779 works, including 1,130 books, 414 articles, and 235 books, have been received by the conference secretariat.”

He announced about a 10% growth in the submission of works to this conference, adding: “In the 26th edition of the Seminary Book of the Year Conference, 1,636 works were received, which showed about a 3% growth compared to the 15th edition.”

According to Hujjat al-Islam Akbarpour, after initial review, 1,557 works met the preliminary conditions. These works were evaluated in 22 scientific groups with the cooperation of 72 prominent professors in each field.

He added: “Finally, 237 works advanced to the detailed evaluation stage, which include 160 books, 34 theses, and 43 articles.”

The secretary and executive director of the Seminary Book of the Year Conference stated: “More than 500 professors from seminaries across the country are currently evaluating and conducting a detailed review of these works.”

It is noteworthy that the closing ceremony of the 27th Seminary Book of the Year Conference will be held on the 2nd of Bahman 1404 (January 22, 2026) in Qom, with the presence of seminary thinkers and experts.
