“Its Other Name Was Sea” Reached Bookstores
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), this book is a collection of eight short stories centered around life and culture in southern Iran. In these stories, Jahangirfam has recreated her personal experiences of living in Bushehr province with a simple and poetic language.
The book “Its Other Name Was Sea,” categorized under Persian fiction, has been published in 88 pages, in a digest format, and on bulky paper.
The titles of the stories in this collection are: Rahy, Didar, Bazgasht, Khamoshi Mahtab, Jan-e Azar, Bitolou, Bi-Vatan, and Its Other Name Was Sea.
Previously, another book by this author, “Alphabet in Exile,” was also published by Sequoia Publications; a research work that delved into the lived experiences of Afghanistani migrant women teachers and their professional challenges in the host society.
