Book ‘Archaeology of Iran’ to be Reviewed
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the book ‘Archaeology of Iran: From the Paleolithic to the Achaemenid Empire’ will be reviewed at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities. This book, written by Roger Matthews and Hassan Fazeli Nashli, has been published with translations by Javad Hosseinzadeh Sadati and Ashkan Olipourian.
In this session, which will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2025, at 5 PM in the Abbas Iqbal Ashtiani Hall of the Faculty of Literature, Hassan Fazeli Nashli, Javad Hosseinzadeh, Roozbeh Zarinkoob, and Ali Dehbashi will deliver speeches.
Key features of this book include the use of the latest archaeological studies and collaboration with 54 Iranian and 64 foreign archaeologists, which has marked a new chapter in Iranian archaeological studies. The use of interdisciplinary studies, over 500 color images, more than 3000 scientific sources, and the latest maps and topics such as human-environment interactions, climate change, comprehensive complexities, and individual and social identities, has transformed this book into a scientific reference in Iranian studies.
