The second round of Tehran Publishing Fellowship kicks off in Azar

The second round of the Tehran Publishing Fellowship is scheduled to begin in Azar (November/December), as announced by the Director of Cultural Affairs of the Tehran International Book Fair. This initiative aims to introduce Iranian culture and literature to foreign publishers and facilitate the international exchange of publishing rights.

Amir Masoud Shahramnia stated that this year’s fellowship will host 15 publishers, literary agents, and editors from various countries including Russia, India, Turkey, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Iraq. These participants will engage in workshops, cultural tours, and meetings with Iranian publishers and authors.

He further elaborated that the primary objective of the Tehran Publishing Fellowship is to foster cultural exchange and create opportunities for Iranian books to reach global markets. The program provides a platform for foreign participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of Iran’s rich literary heritage and contemporary publishing landscape.

The first round of the fellowship, held previously, saw successful participation and generated positive feedback from international attendees. The organizers are optimistic that the second round will further strengthen international collaborations and promote the global presence of Iranian literature.

The fellowship is considered a significant part of the Tehran International Book Fair’s broader strategy to enhance its international profile and support the export of Iranian intellectual works.
