The Secretary-General of the Public Libraries Institution, referring to the holding of Mazandaran Week and Books in the province, said: This event is held to strengthen culture and introduce the province’s luminaries, especially to the younger generation and students.
Alireza Mokhtarpour told Mehr correspondent: Introducing the prominent figures, dignitaries, culture, and customs of each province, especially to the younger generation and students, is of great importance.
He added: In addition to introducing the province’s prominent figures and dignitaries, the importance of books and reading should also be considered, and to this end, various cultural and literary programs are held during Mazandaran Week and Books.
Mokhtarpour said: This event will significantly contribute to the development of book culture and reading in the province.
He stated that Mazandaran has a rich historical, cultural, and literary background and many prominent figures and dignitaries, adding that these capacities and luminaries of the province should be introduced to the younger generations.
This official reminded: Given the importance of books and reading, it is expected that the cultural institutions of the province will cooperate more in this regard.
