‘Lame Jokes’: A Book for Teenagers to Laugh and Learn About Humor

A new educational and entertaining book titled “Lame Jokes” has been published, specifically designed for teenagers to not only laugh but also to understand the nuances of humor.

According to IBNA, the book, written by children’s author and humorist Mr. Hassan Karimian, aims to go beyond simple joke-telling by explaining different types of humor, comedic timing, and the cultural context of jokes.

Karimian stated that the book is an attempt to cultivate a more sophisticated appreciation for humor among young readers, helping them differentiate between genuinely witty and genuinely “lame” jokes. It also encourages creative thinking and storytelling.

Illustrated with engaging cartoons, “Lame Jokes” features interactive elements and exercises to keep teenagers entertained while they learn. Publishers hope it will be a popular addition to school libraries and personal collections.

The book launch included a session where teenagers were invited to share their favorite jokes and discuss what makes something funny, fostering an interactive learning environment.
