Qeshm to Host Book and Library Festival During Book Week

Qeshm Island is preparing to host a comprehensive Book and Library Festival as part of the upcoming National Book Week celebrations, aiming to foster a vibrant reading culture among its residents and visitors.

According to the Iran Book and Literature House News Agency (IBNA) from Hormozgan, the General Director of Public Libraries of Qeshm stated that various programs and events are planned for the festival, including book exhibitions, reading competitions, storytelling sessions, and workshops on creative writing and book repair.

“The Book and Library Festival on Qeshm Island is a significant cultural event that seeks to highlight the importance of books and libraries in intellectual development and community building,” said the Director. “We aim to create an engaging environment that encourages people of all ages to explore the world of books and rediscover the joy of reading.”

Special emphasis will be placed on showcasing local authors and publishers, as well as promoting traditional Qeshm Island folklore and literature. The festival will also include interactive sessions with librarians to introduce various library services and resources available to the public. The event is expected to attract a large number of participants from across the island and beyond, making it a key highlight of the National Book Week.
