“Thousand-Year-Old Razavi Treasure” Unveiled
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Mashhad, the book “Thousand-Year-Old Razavi Treasure” includes selected, most precious manuscripts: Qurans and literary books available in the Manuscript Center of the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi. It was published in the year 1404 by this organization in 319 pages and 300 copies.
This work includes the “History of the Establishment of the Astan Quds Razavi Library” and two sections: “Qurans and Religious Books” and “Literary Books and Divans,” introducing 40 precious manuscripts along with their high-quality color images.
The first section introduces 28 precious manuscript Qurans, Nahj al-Balagha 2180, Sahifa Sajjadiyya 3211, and the manuscript of Munajat of Imam Ali (AS), among which Quran 11 with the noble handwriting attributed to Imam Ali (AS) is considered the oldest version in the book.
In the second section of the book, literary manuscripts with titles such as Kulliyat Ahli Shirazi, Haft Aurang Jami, Khamsa Nizami, Masnavi of Rumi 58356, Makhzan al-Asrar Nizami (Mir Emad), Divan of Hafez 22234, Qajar Shahnameh, Divan of Hafez 4632, and Masnavi of Rumi are reviewed.
Mohammad Hassan Samsar, Behrouz Amini, and Kianoush Mo’taqedi are among the authors of this book. The section on the history of the library’s establishment in this work was also written by Mohammad Reza Morvarid.
With the publication of this work, another window into the manuscript collection of the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi, including approximately 22,000 precious manuscript Qurans and Quranic booklets, has become accessible to researchers and intellectuals.
