Kamran Fani’s Prominent Role in Elevating Iran’s Knowledge and Culture

According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), quoting the government’s information base, the President, in a message, offered condolences on the passing of the esteemed veteran of culture and literature; researcher, bibliographer, and prominent translator of the country, Professor Kamran Fani, to the scientific, literary, and cultural community of Iran and his respected family.

The text of the President’s message is as follows:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

From God we come, and to God we return.

I offer condolences on the passing of the esteemed veteran of culture and literature; researcher, bibliographer, and prominent translator of the country, Professor Kamran Fani, to the scientific, literary, and cultural community of Iran, as well as his honorable family and respected survivors.

This esteemed scholar, through several decades of profound research and continuous effort in the field of bibliography, lexicography, authorship, and translation, played a prominent role in elevating the knowledge and culture of this land with his lasting services in preserving and organizing the Iranian written heritage. His works and scientific efforts are a valuable asset for book lovers and researchers, and undoubtedly his name and memory will remain lasting in Iran’s cultural memory.

While honoring the influential services of this deceased litterateur, I ask God Almighty for His mercy and divine grace for him and for him to be in the company of the righteous, and for all survivors patience, health, and reward.
