A book by a poet from Hormozgan was honored at the national ‘Hossein Manzavi’ festival.

Fakhondeh Jalali, in an interview with the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bandar Abbas, referred to Hormozgan as the land of poetry and art, saying: In the third edition of the national Ghazal “Hossein Manzavi” award held in Zanjan province, five top Ghazal book creators were honored, one of whom was Muslim Mohebbi, a poet from Bandar Abbas, for his poetry book.

The Director General of the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Hormozgan congratulated Mohebbi and the literary community of the province on this selection, adding: Based on the judgment of the national Ghazal festival judges, five Ghazal collections were selected as the top books from among works submitted from across the country to the festival secretariat, and on Thursday, the twentieth of Azar (month), the owners of the selected works were honored.

She added: In addition to Muslim Mohebbi from Hormozgan with the book “Khat be Khat Chine Damanat Shi’r Ast” (Line by Line, The Pleat of Your Skirt is Poetry), Arash Vaqetolab from Gilan with “Behtarin Tasvir-e Yek Divaneh” (The Best Image of a Madman), Alireza Elyasi from East Azerbaijan with “Sepid Chalehgi” (White Pit), Malihe Akbari from Markazi with “Moohaye Khis” (Wet Hair), and Mahboubeh Koushaki from Razavi Khorasan with “Motif” were selected as winners, and from among the five final winners, Alireza Elyasi’s book “Sepid Chalehgi” received the special festival trophy.

Jalali, stating that the national Ghazal festival is one of the most prestigious literary festivals held biennially in Zanjan under the title of “Hossein Manzavi” award, continued: Holding this event and its unprecedented reception show that Zanjan has rightly registered the title of “Capital of Contemporary Ghazal” in Iran’s cultural memory, and the name of Hossein Manzavi, this great poet, continues to inspire new generations of poets.

According to IBNA, Muslim Mohebbi, a teacher, author, and head of the Bandar Abbas Poetry and Sea Association, was born in 1362 (1983/1984) and previously published the book “Man Anke Digaran Be To Goftand Nistam” (I Am Not Who Others Told You I Am).
