The ceremony for the unveiling and signing of ‘Uninvited Guests’ will be held
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), this program will host enthusiasts simultaneously with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. The event will feature a performance and analysis by Hossein Tavallaei, a well-known poet in the children’s and young adult field, and be facilitated by Delaram Jabbari.
“Uninvited Guests” has been published by the children’s and young adult unit of Mirmah Publications (Mirka). It narrates the lives of several child laborers who spend their days in a park and, through their acquaintance with a member of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, enter the Institute’s cultural and artistic world; a world that changes the course of their lives.
This picture book takes the reader on an urban tour, from the Institute’s theater center to the Contemporary Arts Museum. The illustrations feature portraits of artists, writers, and influential figures in the Institute’s history; individuals who played a significant role in shaping children’s literature and art in Iran. The book’s introduction was written by Aliakbar Sadeghi, a prominent painter and animator, and the work, with detailed and multi-layered illustrations by Haleh Qorbani, has been published in 44 pages.
The unveiling ceremony for “Uninvited Guests” will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 (26 Azar 1404) at 6 PM at Shahre Ketab Central, located on Shariati Street, above Motahari Street, on the corner of Kalateh Alley. Attendance is open to the public.
