The story of books that answer children’s questions about Ahl al-Bayt (AS)

According to the Moballegh Thought and Culture website, the book series ‘Bouquets of Flowers and Thorns’ was honored in the child and adolescent category at the Havay-e No festival in previous years.

According to Mehr, this collection, featuring didactic stories from the early days of Islam for girls and boys, is authored by Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Mohajerani, and Orouj Andisheh Publications has released it in 15 volumes. The book narrates stories from the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) up to Imam Mahdi (AS), with one volume specifically addressing stories of oppressive women.

Hojjat al-Islam Mohajerani, born in 1969 in the city of Mohajeran, Arak, is a graduate of Qom Seminary and a poet of religious verse for children. Many books in the religious domain, in the form of poetry and stories for toddlers, children, and teenagers, have been published under his pen.

About 35 years ago, in 1986, his first poem for children was published, and his first book was a collection titled ‘Our Dear Prophet,’ which depicted the life of the Prophet of God in poetic language for children. This collection opened a new path for writing and composing his other works and series, each addressing religious concepts in some way.

Most of his works have been published for children with a focus on theology, including the 20-volume series ‘How is Our God?’, the 20-volume series ‘Theology for Toddlers,’ the 6-volume series ‘My Good God,’ and the two-volume series ‘Kinder than All.’ It seems he has resolved to show the God we cannot see to the most inquisitive age group: children.

Mohajerani has paid great attention to topics suchs as ethics, beliefs, religious rulings, and the lifestyle and traditions of the Imams in his stories and poems for children and adolescents. Some of them include: The Biography of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), ‘Our Dear Prophet’ series (14 volumes): The Biography of the Holy Prophet of Islam for children, ‘Muhammad, a Flower for All’ series (8 volumes): The Biography of the Holy Prophet of Islam for toddlers, ‘Kind Hero’ (2 volumes): Sports stories of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hundred-Petal Flower, ‘Flower and Butterfly’ series, ‘Candle and Butterfly’ series, Fourteen Flowers, First I Say Bismillah, Everyone Says Bismillah, Green Garden of Prayer, The Most Beautiful Party, ‘Garden of Muhammad’s Flowers’ series (PBUH), Effects and Blessings of the Islamic Revolution, Memories of a Keffiyeh: The Beauties of the Holy Defense, and the ‘Culture of Endowment’ series, Kinder than All, and more…

Interestingly, less than two years ago, this very book, which was honored at the Havay-e No festival, namely ‘Bouquets of Flowers and Thorns,’ was among the nominees in the religion section for the child and adolescent category of the Book of the Year of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2020.
