Story of Turkmen Resistance at Mehr Theater
According to Khabaronline news agency, quoting the public relations of Sooreh Theater Club, the play ‘Sahra Mard,’ co-written by Shahrooz Iri and Asghar Garousi, directed by Shahrooz Iri, and in cooperation with the Art Center of Golestan Province and Sooreh Theater Club, will be staged in Tehran from Monday, December 8th, after its performance in Golestan Province. Simultaneously with the approaching start of the second round of performances of this theatrical work, its poster was unveiled.
This work, adapted from the novel ‘Mati Khan’ by Abdolrahman Onagh, narrates the resistance and courage of Turkmens against oppression and tyranny and re-presents Turkmen culture to the audience in a historical narrative.
