The Fifteenth Provincial Book Fair of Kermanshah Kicks Off
According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Kermanshah, the Fifteenth Provincial Book Fair of Kermanshah commenced with the presence of reputable publishers from across the country and a group of senior provincial officials. This exhibition is being held after a hiatus of approximately seven years, as its last edition was held in 2018.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ayatollah Ghaffouri, the representative of the Supreme Leader in the province and Kermanshah’s Friday prayer leader; Manouchehr Habibi, the Governor of Kermanshah; Mohammad Rashidi, the representative of Kermanshah people in the Islamic Consultative Assembly; and a group of managers, writers, and cultural activists.
In this edition, 320 publishers have sent their works to Kermanshah through the Iran Cultural Exhibitions Cooperative Company. Books covering 13 different subjects, including literature, religion, generalities, psychology, children and young adults, educational sciences, and other general fields, are on display and for sale.
In addition to national publishers, local Kermanshah publishers are also present at the exhibition. Twenty active publishers from the province and 10 local bookstores have collectively occupied 30 booths. Parts of the exhibition have also been designated as a separate hall for Kermanshah publishers.
Books in this edition are offered to the public with a fixed 20% discount. The exhibition opened today, December 4 (13 Azar), and will officially welcome visitors from December 5 (14 Azar). Visiting hours have been announced in two shifts: 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 8 PM.
The exhibition will be open until December 11 (20 Azar) in the Zagros Hall. The arrangement of the booths has been done in a concentrated and integrated manner to provide an organized and accessible exhibition space for visitors.
