Two works by Kafka entered the book market

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), ‘A Country Doctor’ and ‘Letter to His Father’ are two popular works by Kafka published by Khwarazmi Publications. Another book about Kafka published by this press is ‘Conversations with Kafka’ by Gustav Janouch. All three of these books have been translated by Faramarz Behzad, who is a renowned translator of the German language. Also, ‘German-Persian Dictionary’ is another valuable work by this translator at Khwarazmi.

The books ‘A Country Doctor’ and ‘Letter to His Father’, whose new editions have now entered the book market, were for years published with lead type, but now, as part of the publisher’s new program for redesigning books, they have been typeset again and released in a fresh form.

In ‘Letter to His Father’, images of Kafka’s handwriting from letters he wrote to his father have been added to the work, and also images of Kafka’s father and mother are included in the book.

In ‘A Country Doctor’, a design appropriate to the atmosphere of each story has been created, which is included in the new edition. Also, Kafka’s own designs have been used in the cover design of these works.

It is worth mentioning that the seventh print of ‘Letter to His Father’ after a few months and the fifth print of ‘A Country Doctor’ after ten years have both been released at the price of 230,000 Tomans.
