Isfahan Ranked First in Sales and Most Buyers in the Autumn Book Plan 1404
Mohammad Ali Jafari, in an interview with an IRNA (Iran Book News Agency) reporter from Isfahan, referring to the results of the 1404 Autumn Book Plan, stated: Isfahan province, with 43 participating bookstores, ranked fourth in the country in terms of the number of participating bookstores, following the provinces of Tehran, Qom, and Razavi Khorasan.
He added that while Isfahan held the fourth rank in quantitative participation indicators, the province’s performance in qualitative indicators was significant. In terms of sales volume and book subsidy absorption, by allocating over 2 billion and 598 million Rials, it secured the first rank in the country.
The Deputy of Cultural and Media Affairs of the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Isfahan Province referred to the significant turnout of Isfahani citizens for the Autumn Book Plan and said: The number of registered buyers in Isfahan reached 1949 people, placing this province at the top of the country’s provinces, which indicates people’s interest and attention to books and reading.
He further added, referring to the performance of the province’s bookstores in the Autumn Book Plan: Isfahan Book City achieved the first rank in the country by selling over 1345 volumes of books. Additionally, Ardibhesht Chaharbagh Book and Pardis Book of Isfahan were also included in the list of top bookstores for this period of the plan and played a significant role in the province’s success.
Jafari emphasized: These successes demonstrate the high capacity of the book market in Isfahan and the widespread interest of citizens in books and reading culture. The General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Isfahan Province has planned to continue the process of promoting reading culture in the province by supporting bookstores and implementing similar plans.
