‘Iranian Teenager’ Published in Two Volumes

According to the Mabhagh Thought and Culture website, the books titled ‘Iranian Teenager’ offer a systematic review of research conducted during adolescence. For the compilation of these two volumes, over three thousand research studies related to adolescents and mental health were collected from domestic scientific databases over the past 30 years. Ultimately, based on the research protocol, approximately 700 studies were systematically analyzed and reviewed.

The first volume of this book draws from research concerning adolescents and society, adolescents and family, and adolescents and school. The second volume covers psychological pathology of adolescents, empowerment of adolescents, digital well-being, adolescents and sex education, physical health of adolescents, and the COVID-19 crisis.

A section from the text of these books reads:

Adolescence is a period rich with opportunities for growth and transformation, naturally accompanied by profound physical, emotional, and social changes that confront teenagers with numerous trials and challenges. This period offers the chance to explore various healthy or unhealthy experiences in adolescents’ personal and social lives. It also provides fertile ground for the emergence of both positive and negative emotions, as well as unique issues that are an inseparable part of this developmental stage. This situation greatly amplifies the importance of raising awareness and supporting this age group.

Sore Mehr Publishing has recently introduced the two-volume collection ‘Iranian Teenager’ to the country’s book market.
