5 poetry books unveiled in Ardabil

Shahabeddin Vatandoost, in an interview with the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Ardabil, stated: The poetry books «Yashil Bakhish», «Gozallar Gozali» in Turkish, and «Hame Eshgh» (All Love) in Persian, authored by «Zekrollah Khodayar», as well as «Gol Khina Qoy» (Put Henna Flower), a poetry collection by «Ali Mohammad Hosseini», were among the unveiled books.

He stated: Poet Khodayar, a distinguished member of the Hakim Fuzuli Periodic Literary Association, is himself a physician, but due to his innate interest and talent, he has been active in the field of poetry and literature for many years, experimenting with various poetic forms and composing praiseworthy poems.

Vatandoost added: Among the forms used in Mr. Khodayar’s three books, Bayati is more frequent, along with Goushmeh and Geraili. This poet has also turned to Ghazal, Mosammat, and Masnavi in his Persian work, and in terms of content, most of his poems are social, expressing the pains and struggles of various segments of society, and conveying hope and an invitation to moral virtues.

The poet and literature professor at Ardabil universities continued: Mr. Mohammad Hosseini’s poetry collection is also in common Turkish forms, mostly addressing popular customs, rural interests and tastes, humanity, and reformist aspirations.

He added: Despite the poet saying he has little formal education, his poems are full of meaning and have something to say. This poet has tried to express his heartfelt thoughts in his poems.

The secretary of the Hakim Fuzuli Literary Circle also named the unveiling of the poetry book «Qanadlan Agh Goyarchinim» (Spread Your Wings, My White Dove), authored by «Naser Nemati Yamchiloo» with the pen name (Dalgha), as another book unveiled at this circle, and said: The poems in this book are also composed in common forms of Turkish literature. Concurrently with the unveiling of this book, Samad Eslami was honored as a cultural and artistic activist of Nayer County.

Vatandoost stated: The Hakim Fuzuli Literary Circle is held every two weeks, on Wednesday afternoons, in the meeting hall of the General Directorate of Libraries of the province. Every week, in addition to members’ poetry readings, Fuzuli readings and literary discussions take place. Sometimes, at the invitation of literary associations, this circle is held in various cities. Supporting literary thought and unveiling members’ works are among the goals of this literary circle.
