According to Khabaronline News Agency, quoting Ibna – Tahereh Mehri: Qajar era textbooks not only possess historical value and educational importance but are also still engaging and readable. One of the first history textbooks for elementary schools was created by Mahmoud Meftaholmolk, who had also presented one of the first modern examples of children’s literature some thirty years prior. He sought to compile an appealing, fluent, and child-friendly book about Iranian history using the Shahnameh.
This book, titled “Kholaset-ol-Tavarikh,” the first children’s selection from the Shahnameh, edited by Seyed Ali Kashefi Khansari, has entered the book market through Mohajer Publishing as part of the “Qajar Treasure” series.
