14,000 book volumes sold in 4 days at Kish Book Fair

According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bandar Abbas, Davood Radmand reported a significant welcome from Kish residents to the 6th Kish Book Fair with the slogan ‘Book, a Window to Life’ in the exhibition hall of the Kish Free Zone, stating: In 4 days, 14,000 book volumes were sold at the Kish Book Fair.

The Executive Secretary of the Kish Book Fair, expressing satisfaction with the enthusiastic reception from Kish residents, added: A large number of students, as part of educational camps, and families, accompanied by their children, have visited the fair, and we expect everyone from the island’s population of 45,000 to visit the book fair, considering their level of culture.

Radmand added: Each individual can use a 50% discount up to 600,000 Tomans by presenting their national ID, and further purchases will be calculated with a 10% discount.

He announced that this year over 17,000 book titles from more than 300 publishers nationwide have been offered at the 6th Book Fair.

Radmand added: For the convenience of buyers, wheeled baskets and nine sales counters, including one special counter for people with special conditions, have been arranged.

The organizer of the Kish Book Fair stated: Free round-trip minibus transport has been arranged from four points – Sadaf, Safin, Bonyad, and Noubonyad – with departures at 18:00 and 19:00, and returns at 21:00 and 22:00.

Davood Radmand clarified: Shahnameh reading competitions, English language speaking, several book unveilings, and the introduction of new works written by Kish students are among the fair’s side programs.

According to IBNA, the 6th Kish Book Fair will host students every morning from 9:00 to 13:30 from December 1st to 9th, 2025, and will welcome the general public, guests, and the reading community in the afternoon from 16:00 to 22:00.
