Nasser Hamedi Appointed Scientific Secretary of the Third Biennial National Ghazal Award ‘Hossein Monzavi’

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Zanjan, Jafar Mohammadi, the Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Zanjan Province and head of this award, referring to the unparalleled reception of poets from all over the country for this literary event, stated: “In evaluating and selecting a scientific secretary for any event, various conditions are considered to choose the best option. Based on this, and with the aim of utilizing an active and influential figure in the field of poetry, Nasser Hamedi is introduced as the scientific secretary for this term of the award.”

This literary figure was born in March 1977 in Masal, Gilan. His literary activity began during his school years, and in those same years, he succeeded in winning first place in poetry in national student competitions. He went to Semnan Province to continue his studies, and during his university years, he also had significant achievements in the field of poetry and cultural and Quranic activities, including winning first place in the Nahj al-Balagha national competitions.

Hamedi holds a Ph.D. in Persian Language and Literature from Semnan University and has been teaching at the same university for many years. Alongside teaching, he also engages in documentary filmmaking, production, and presentation on national and provincial radio and television networks. Among his documentary works are “Rahi” (introducing Mirza Ali Akbar Moallem Damghani), “Hajj,” and “Tavoos-e Sokhan” (introducing Manuchehri Damghani), the latest of which won first place nationally at the National Ayin-e Sokhan Festival in 1403 (Persian calendar year).
