Book of Eshaq Jahangiri’s memoirs unveiled

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), at this ceremony, held on Thursday (November 20) at the Wisdom Hall of the National Archives and Library of Iran, Hossein Simayi Saraf, Minister of Science, Research and Technology; Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of Prudence and Hope; Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, former Minister of Oil; Laya Joneidi, Vice President for Legal Affairs in the Government of Prudence and Hope; Reza Farajidana, former Minister of Science; Ali Khatami; Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani; Hossein Mara’shi; Mohammad Nahavandian, Economic Vice President in Rouhani’s government; Ali Jannati, Minister of Culture in the first government of Prudence and Hope; and Zahra Behrouz Azar, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, were present.

Eshaq Jahangiri wrote in the introduction of this book: ‘What you read in this book is part of my experiences in dealing with Iran’s issues during eight years as the First Vice President. This eight-year period was a complex, difficult, and tumultuous era in the process of governance and its challenges, as well as the country’s social, political, and economic developments, and close involvement in these developments and challenges greatly helped to understand Iran’s fundamental issues.’

This book has recently been published by the Etela’at Newspaper Institute in 460 pages and has now reached its fourth print.
