Book-Visiting Ceremony is Held
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), citing the news headquarters of the 33rd Iran Book Week, the “Book-Visiting Ceremony” will be held nationwide on Thursday, November 19, 2025 (Aban 29, 1404 in the Iranian calendar), concurrently with the sixth day of the 33rd Book Week. The ceremony will take place with the slogan “I also come” and will see the participation of various groups of people and cultural officials across the country.
The aim of this ceremony is to promote the culture of reading. Book enthusiasts can visit bookstores, cultural centers, and book exhibitions to benefit from diverse cultural programs. As one of the main events of Book Week, this event endeavors to encourage active participation in reading culture and to promote books as an inseparable part of daily life.
This year’s Book-Visiting Ceremony is being held at a time when reading culture has been placed among the main priorities of the country’s cultural programs as a social and cultural value. This program is organized as a social and collective movement with the aim of raising public awareness and drawing attention to those active in the publishing industry.
This event provides a space for direct dialogue between publishers, authors, audiences, and officials, and offers a platform for authors to meet their readers. Publishers can also converse with various groups of buyers of their works. The formation of reading circles in cafes, parks, and even private homes is also among the positive outcomes of this ceremony.
The 33rd Iran Book Week, with the slogan “Let’s Read for Iran,” began on Saturday, November 15, 2025 (Aban 24, 1404 in the Iranian calendar), and will continue until November 21, 2025 (Aban 30).
