Book Custodians Honored in Golestan Province
According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Gorgan, on Wednesday morning, and on the occasion of the 33rd Iran Book Week, a ceremony to honor and commemorate activists in the field of books and reading in Golestan Province was held, along with the unveiling of the Supreme Leader’s endorsement on three book titles, with the presence of officials, cultural and literary figures, and families of martyrs at the Gorgan Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults building.
In this ceremony, Ahmad Khajeh Nejad, a writer, cultural activist, and veteran in the publishing field, was honored.
Subsequently, Zeynab Torabi, an active publisher in the field of sacrifice and martyrdom; Eghlima Ansari, an active writer in the field of sacrifice and martyrdom; Amir Ali Nodehi and Helena Mohammadi, emerging writers; Nematollah Sahneh, an active bookseller in Aq Qala County; Vajiheh Ebrahimi Nejad, director of Emertat Publications and an active publisher in the children’s and young adult field; and Farkhondeh Rezapour, an active writer in the children’s and young adult field, were appreciated.
Also, in this ceremony, alongside honoring a group of trainers, librarians, book benefactors, and top library members, officials such as the governors of Bandar Torkaman and Bandar Gaz counties and the mayors of Gorgan and Bandar Torkaman cities were appreciated for their support of the book sector.
In another part of the ceremony, and in line with the national event of unveiling the Supreme Leader’s endorsement on three book titles: ‘Unfinished Fever’, ‘Lady Moon’, and ‘Fellow Traveler of Fire and Snow’, the family of martyr Elham Farahmand and Hojjatoleslam Niazmand, along with their three children who were martyred in the attacks of the Zionist regime, were honored.
Also, the family of martyr Amir Hossein Dogonchi, one of the martyrs of the 12-day war, and the perpetually missing martyr Abu Taleb Jalali, one of the martyrs of the Holy Defense, were appreciated, and respect was paid to the high status of these martyrs and their honorable families.
