«Mirqat al-Jannat fi al-Ad’iyah wa al-Salawat wa al-Ziyarat» Released to the Publishing Market
According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Qom, the book «Mirqat al-Jannat fi al-Ad’iyah wa al-Salawat wa al-Ziyarat (Prayers, Supplications, and Pilgrimages for the Days of the Year)» is a comprehensive guide for performing acts of worship and reciting traditional prayers for the days of the year. Notable features of this work include reliance on credible sources, precise referencing of all hadiths and supplications in footnotes, and a brief biography of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) along with explanations of important occasions throughout the year.
Based on reliable sources and presenting yearly acts of worship and supplications in a practical and accurate manner, this book is a companion and a guiding work for spiritual journeying and strengthening one’s connection with Almighty God.
In this book, a special classification and arrangement has been observed in presenting the acts of worship. Thus, for each day, first fasting, then prayers, then supplications, and finally, pilgrimages attributed to Ahl al-Bayt (AS) for that day are mentioned. In presenting prayers and supplications, shorter prayers and supplications are mentioned first, followed by longer ones, so that the reader can choose whichever suits their condition.
This book consists of two sections. The first section details «Acts for the Months of the Year» and comprises 12 chapters, each dedicated to the acts of one of the lunar months of the year.
The second section addresses «Acts for the Days of the Week» and includes nine chapters. Chapters one through seven are dedicated to the acts of each day of the week, with most acts mentioned in narrations regarding the days and nights of the week presented in a list format. Chapter eight discusses daily prayers, supererogatory prayers, and their recommended acts. Since the night prayer holds a special place among supererogatory prayers, chapter nine is dedicated to explaining the importance and rituals of the night prayer.
