From Qutb Torbat Heydarieh Poetry and Literature Association to Holding Cheshmeh Literary Circle in Golbahar
According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Mashhad, Khorasan, this ancient and culture-nurturing land, has long been a cradle for the development of brilliant art and literature in Iran. The history of Khorasan is replete with the names of great figures, each of whom has shone brightly in the sky of culture and art of this land. From unparalleled poets like Ferdowsi, Khayyam, and Attar to prominent artists and scholars who, with their works, have left a valuable legacy for future generations. This region, benefiting from a rich culture, has always been a pioneer in holding cultural and artistic festivals and events.
The cities of Khorasan Razavi province have also, each in their turn, played a significant role in preserving and promoting this heritage throughout the week. From poetry gatherings and book reviews to handicrafts and local music, all are manifestations of this land’s culture that still flow in people’s lives. This week, on the eve of Book Week, we had a brief overview of some cultural events of the past week in the cities of this province.
Holding the Qutb Torbat Heydarieh Poetry and Literature Association Meeting
On the first day of this week, the Qutb Torbat Heydarieh Literary Association was held at the Shahid Beheshti Library in this city, with the presence of many enthusiasts of poetry and literature. Poets from the city recited their works at this meeting.
Fourth Session of Torbat Jam Public Libraries Association Held
In the land of Sheikh Ahmad Jami, this week, on the occasion of Book and Reading Week, the fourth session of the Torbat Jam Public Libraries Association was held in the governorate office, with the presence of the city’s governor and a group of cultural officials. Discussions at this meeting focused on the necessity of developing cultural infrastructures in the city and launching the “Read for Iran” campaign with the aim of promoting reading culture, as well as holding a book reading competition in two categories: “Children and Adolescents” and “Adults.”
Holding a Study and Play Reading Session in Golbahar
A study and play reading session was held with the presence of several members, with the aim of expanding the culture of books and reading, at the Salman Farsi Public Library in Golbahar. In this session, the book “Father Goriot” by Honoré de Balzac was introduced, and members reviewed and discussed parts of this work. At the end of the session, the play “The Good Doctor” by Neil Simon was read by the members.
Holding the Cheshmeh Literary Circle in Golbahar
Through the efforts of the Cheshmeh Literary Circle, a poetry gathering centered on the martyrdom days of Lady Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her) was held this week, with the presence of several poets and active library members, at the Shahid Sayyed Yahya Hosseini Public Library in Golbahar. Poets present at this gathering recited their works in praise of Lady Zahra (PBUH), and these poems were reviewed and discussed by library members and enthusiasts.
“From Book to Stage” Training Course in Kashmar
Through the efforts of the Public Libraries Department of Kashmar city and in cooperation with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the municipality of this city, the “From Book to Stage” training course was held with the aim of enhancing the capabilities of artists and cultural activists in the fields of anthem, theater, and books. This course was held to improve the capabilities of cultural activists in the fields of anthem, books, and theater.
Weekly Meeting of “Khotan” Literary Circle in Kashmar
Also this week in Kashmar, the fifth weekly meeting of the “Khotan” Literary Circle was held with the aim of elevating the cultural and literary level of society, with the presence of several poets, writers, and enthusiasts of Persian poetry, at the Imam Ali (AS) Public Library in Kashmar.

On the eve of the 33rd Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a library tour was held with the participation of various schools at the Shahid Jalali Public Library in Khaf city.

The Kharzanj Literary Circle was held at the Bahr-ol-Olum Library in Khalilabad. In this session, Ghazal No. 281 of Hafez was reviewed.
Book Donation in Bajestan
In line with providing resources and developing cultural services in rural areas, approximately 1300 volumes of books were donated by the Central Library of the Presidency to the Shahid Salahi Fakhrabad Library in Bajestan.
