Librarians renewed their covenant with the ideals of Imam Khomeini (RA)
According to a reporter from the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the ceremony for librarians to renew their covenant with the ideals of Imam Khomeini, was held on Wednesday, November 12, with the presence of Azadeh Nazarboland, Secretary General of the National Public Libraries Institution, and a group of librarians.
In this ceremony, cultural officials, Book Week organizers, librarians, and employees of the National Public Libraries Institution reaffirmed their commitment to the lofty ideals of the great founder of the revolution, the leadership, and the martyrs.
On the sidelines of this ceremony, Azadeh Nazarboland, speaking to reporters and referring to their presence at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA), said: “On the occasion of Book Week and November 15, Book, Reading, and Librarian Day, we came here to renew our allegiance to the ideals of the beloved Imam. Given his conduct and profound, heartfelt attention to the discussion of books, reading, study, and research, we consider it our duty and obligation in the National Public Libraries Institution and other cultural bodies to actively promote and develop his conduct.”
She added: “I hope we take significant steps in the field of books and reading so that the Islamic society can continue its path more successfully, diligently, and powerfully than ever before.”
Nazarboland also stated: “I hope all my colleagues in other cultural organizations also follow this path with the same method and performance during Book and Reading Week, and that we can take great strides in promoting the culture of books, reading, and study in the country.”
The 33rd edition of Iran’s Islamic Republic Book Week, with the slogan ‘Let’s Read for Iran,’ will be held from November 15 to 21, 2025.
