“A Woman’s Songs Coming From the Gramophone” Reaches Europe
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), this collection, like the previous one, has been published in Norway by Aftab Publication with the translation by Maryam Hosseinnejad, and is now available in a bilingual format via the Amazon website for poetry lovers in Iran and worldwide.
“A Woman’s Songs Coming From the Gramophone,” which includes the poet’s nostalgic and romantic verses, was first published in May 2022 (Ordibehesht 1401) by Cheshmeh Publication, and its second print is currently available in the book market. Exile, memory, and the endurance of love amidst various losses constitute the themes of Nejati’s poems in this book. With delicate imagery and quiet confessions, he writes poems that oscillate between the streets of Tehran and the solitude of distant cities; a place where nostalgia is both a heavy burden and a safe haven.
“A Woman’s Songs Coming From the Gramophone,” which was included in the final list of selected works for the Journalists’ Poetry Award in its year of publication, is available for $12 from Aftab Publications’ website or Amazon’s website. Seyyed Morteza Nejati, born in 1976 (1355), has published various titles in the fields of poetry, plays, and novels to date.
