400-year-old painting of ‘Yusuf and Zulaikha’ in an Iranian book

According to Khabaronline news agency, quoting Faradid, here you see an image of a miniature from the Safavid era (around 1003 SH / 1624 CE) depicting Zulaikha’s request to Yusuf.

This miniature, drawn in a copy of Saadi’s Kolliyat (Complete Works), also depicts Zulaikha’s handmaiden and Potiphar, Zulaikha’s husband, on the left and right sides of the painting.
