Seventh Night of Poetry on the Path of Wilayat Held in Abarkuh County

According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Yazd, the seventh Night of Poetry on the Path of Wilayat, commemorating the anniversary of Imam Reza’s (AS) arrival in Abarkuh, was held on Friday night at the amphitheater of the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance in this city.

The ceremony was attended by the CEO of the Imam Reza (AS) International Cultural and Artistic Foundation, the Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Yazd Province, the poet of Ahl al-Bayt Mohaddethi Khorasani, and a group of local and provincial poets, and was conducted in cooperation with the Maktab al-Reza (AS) religious board.

Farshid Fallah, CEO of the Imam Reza (AS) International Cultural and Artistic Foundation, announced at the ceremony: “The 30th Razavi Poetry Festival will be a national and international festival, and foreign guests will also be present.”

He added: “All poets can express their devotion to Imam Reza (AS) in this context. The Imam Reza (AS) Foundation strives to make the anniversary of His Holiness’s arrival an excuse for connecting with people and expanding cultural and artistic activities.”

Fallah stated that popular groups are the initiators of holding anniversary celebrations of Imam Reza’s (AS) arrival in various cities and provinces, expressing hope that this program would be a step towards creating a common path to keep alive the memory and path of that Imam.

He also announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding between pilgrimage sites such as Abarkuh and Bafgh to define coordinated programs and commemorate this occasion nationwide.

The CEO of the Imam Reza (AS) Foundation considered holding festivals as an example of good and valuable work and said: “We try to continue these actions by attracting and evaluating suitable projects.”

The Governor of Abarkuh County, also speaking at the ceremony, referred to Abarkuh’s strong literary background and the presence of prominent poets, stating: “The literary environment in this county is very suitable.”

He announced the favorable pledge of cooperation from the City Islamic Council and the Municipality and said that the private sector would also support these programs.

The Governor of Abarkuh emphasized the potential for holding large events in the region and said: “Let’s use this opportunity and strengthen this capacity. Now is the right time to take steps in this direction.”
