Holding 4 specialized sessions on the occasion of Book Week
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the Culture and Life Center and the Iranian Peace Studies Association are organizing four book-centric sessions on the occasion of Book and Reading Day.
One of the specialized sessions is titled “Book, Reading, and Peace,” featuring Dr. Nematollah Fazeli, an anthropologist, author, and head of the Iranian Peace Studies Association.
Another session, “Reading as Epistemic Existential Openness,” will be held with the participation of Dr. Qodratollah Taheri, an associate professor and faculty member of Shahid Beheshti University.
A panel discussion on “Lived Experience of Reading Facilitators” will include Dr. Nasrin Teimourian, manager of reading clubs at the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance and founder of 656 reading clubs nationwide; Farzaneh Akhavat, founder of 102 libraries in border areas; Dr. Fatemeh Behrouzfakhr, reading group facilitator; and Marzieh Doroudian, panel secretary and book facilitator.
The fourth session, “Challenges of Book and Reading,” will feature Zahra Hajizadeh, facilitator of the “Association for the Revival of Values.” This event will take place at Qeytarieh Park, Farhangsara-ye Melal, Farhang Hall, at the Culture and Life Center.
