Book ‘Leaping from the Graveyard’ Published
According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), ‘Leaping from the Graveyard’ by Margaret Atwood, the renowned lady of contemporary literature, is a book that can help readers foster creativity and writing skills.
Atwood, with decades of experience teaching writing and the mastery of a great storyteller, shows us that writing is not merely an innate talent, but a craft that, like any other skill, requires principles, practice, and patience. She guides the reader from the first steps, such as choosing a point of view, creating impactful dialogues, and narrative structure, to the most complex literary techniques, using clear language and tangible examples, while warning: ‘To write is to break previous rules and search for new ones.’
Before ‘Leaping from the Graveyard,’ Mohsen Yavari had previously introduced Eric Burke’s book ‘Idea’ to the Iranian literary community through his translation in the same field. According to Yavari, these two books, like two interconnected rings, complete the path of literary creation; from the first stirrings of the mind, ‘Idea,’ to the final edits of the text in ‘Leaping from the Graveyard.’
This book is the fourth translation by this writer and translator. Mohsen Yavari, who was honored at the ‘My Favorite Translator’ National Festival for his first translation, the novel ‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,’ managed to gain the trust and attention of his audience. He then published Eric Burke’s ‘Idea’ with Nimaj Publications, followed by a collection of short stories by Roald Dahl titled ‘They Are Not Going to Get Old’ with Salis Publications. In addition to translating, he has been holding writing workshops at the Saar Story Association for years and is the editor-in-chief of Saar Story specialized magazine, whose fifth issue was recently published on the Taghcheh application.
This book has been published by Nimaj Publications in 160 pages.
