Master Abolhassan Sadighi Working on the Statue of Avicenna
Abolhassan Sadighi was a renowned Iranian painter and sculptor, and one of Kamal-ol-Molk’s prominent students. His enduring works adorn the cities of Iran, including the statue of Ferdowsi in Ferdowsi Square, Tehran; the statue of Ya’qub ibn al-Layth al-Saffar in Zabol; the statue of Khayyam in Laleh Park, Tehran; and the statue of Nader Shah Afshar at his tomb in Mashhad. The design for the face of Abu Ali Sina (Avicenna) is also among his notable works, depicting the spirit of Iranian art with eternal grandeur.
