‘Shirin Sokhanan Kofteh dar Khak’ Unveiled in Langarud
The book “Shirin Sokhanan Kofteh dar Khak” (Sweet Speakers Buried in Earth), a collection of biographies of prominent poets and literary figures from Langarud, was unveiled today in a ceremony held at the city’s central library.
According to IBNA, the event was attended by local officials, cultural figures, and literary enthusiasts. The book, compiled by researcher and author Dr. Ali Rezazadeh, aims to preserve and introduce the cultural heritage of Langarud through the lives and works of its forgotten literary talents.
During the ceremony, Dr. Rezazadeh spoke about the extensive research involved in compiling the book and expressed his hope that it would inspire future generations to explore their local literary roots.
The head of Langarud’s Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance praised the initiative, emphasizing the importance of documenting local history and recognizing the contributions of its intellectuals.
The unveiling was followed by a poetry reading session, where selections from the featured poets were recited, further celebrating the rich literary tradition of Langarud.
