Qeshm to Host Book and Library Festival During Book Week
Qeshm Island is set to host a significant Book and Library Festival as part of the annual National Book Week celebrations. The event aims to promote reading culture and highlight the importance of libraries in the region, particularly among the island’s diverse communities.
The festival will feature a variety of programs, including book exhibitions, reading sessions, workshops for children and adults, and meetings with authors. Special emphasis will be placed on promoting local literature and the works of authors from the Persian Gulf region, alongside national and international titles.
Officials from the Qeshm Free Zone Organization and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance stated that the festival is designed to make books more accessible and appealing to all age groups. They hope to encourage greater engagement with reading, especially among younger residents, by making libraries vibrant community hubs.
The event is expected to attract visitors and participants from across the region, contributing to Qeshm’s cultural development and reinforcing its role as a center for intellectual and literary activities.
