Qeshm Hosts Book and Library Festival During Book Week
Qeshm Island is set to host a grand “Book and Library Festival” during the upcoming National Book Week, aiming to promote reading and cultural activities in the free zone.
According to IBNA, the festival, organized by the Qeshm Free Zone Organization and the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance, will feature various programs including book exhibitions, author meet-and-greets, storytelling sessions for children, and workshops on creative writing.
The Director of Cultural Affairs for Qeshm Free Zone emphasized the strategic importance of such events in boosting literacy rates and fostering a vibrant intellectual environment on the island.
Special attention will be given to showcasing local authors and publishers, providing a platform for their works to reach a wider audience. The festival also aims to highlight the role of public libraries as community centers.
Residents and tourists alike are invited to participate in the week-long celebration of books, knowledge, and cultural exchange.
