Equipping Qom’s Village Libraries with Book Donations

A significant book donation campaign has successfully equipped several village libraries in the Qom province, providing much-needed resources to rural communities.

According to IBNA, the initiative, spearheaded by the Public Libraries of Qom General Directorate, aimed to enhance access to knowledge and promote reading among villagers, especially children and teenagers.

More than 5,000 volumes of books, covering various subjects including literature, science, history, and children’s stories, were distributed to 15 rural libraries. The donations included newly published titles as well as classic works.

The Director-General of Qom’s Public Libraries emphasized the role of libraries as cultural hubs in rural areas and expressed gratitude to all individuals and organizations who contributed to the campaign.

This project is part of a larger national effort to bridge the educational gap between urban and rural areas and foster a culture of reading across the country.
