The Smallest Reciter; The Story of the Flight of a Teenager Who Lived with the Quran

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the book “The Smallest Reciter,” written by Somayeh Eslami, which narrates the life and memories of the international Quran reciter, Martyr Hassan Danesh, has recently been published by Rah-e Yar Publications.

Hassan Danesh, our country’s Quranic elite, was born in 1989 in Yazd. From childhood, influenced by his father and older brother, he was drawn to the Quran. He pursued Quranic activities seriously, dedicating most of his time to memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran, achieving significant success in this path. He won first place in the national Quran competitions of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization in 2015 and represented the Islamic Republic of Iran in the international Quran competitions in Saudi Arabia that same year.

This international reciter, who was among the members of the Quranic convoy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization dispatched to the 2015 Hajj, tragically lost his life along with four other members of the convoy during the Mina stampede. He was 26 years old at the time of his martyrdom.

In a section of the book, we read: “His voice still echoes in my ears when he would call me and say, ‘Salam Aleikum, Haj Khanum.’ My heart trembles… He was very humble. Whenever he was honored for his Quranic achievements and received a prize, he would bring it home and give it to me, saying, ‘Haj Khanum, this is for you…’ He had given me a trip to Mashhad as a gift… His presence was a source of tranquility for me.”

The book “The Smallest Reciter,” which deals with the life of this young Quranic figure, is authored by Somayeh Eslami and has been released in 120 pages and 1,000 copies by Rah-e Yar Publications.
