The second edition of the book ‘Kushan: A Historical Narrative,’ written by Meysam Ahmadi, has been released by Peydayesh Publications.

Peydayesh Publications has been publishing the ‘From Iran’ collection for some time, aiming to provide narrative histories of the governments that ruled over ancient Iran. This collection, intended for young adults, is written in a narrative style. One of the titles in this collection is ‘Kushan: A Historical Narrative,’ authored by Meysam Ahmadi, and its second edition has recently been published.

Kushan was a government that ruled over a vast territory in Central Asia for centuries. They were a people who emerged from the east and gradually formed a powerful empire. During their reign, they had a significant impact on the culture and art of their time. The Kushans were renowned for their religious tolerance and facilitated the spread of Buddhism to Central Asia and China. Their art, a blend of Greek and Indian styles, gave rise to a new school known as Gandharan art.
