The 901st Bukhara Night was held in Borujen in honor of Iraj Afshar

The 901st “Bukhara Night” event was held in Borujen, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, commemorating the late Iraj Afshar, a prominent Iranologist, bibliographer, and university professor.

According to IRNA, this cultural gathering, dedicated to preserving and promoting Iranian culture and literature, featured speeches by cultural figures, scholars, and officials.

Ali Dehbashi, the organizer of Bukhara Nights, highlighted the importance of honoring literary and scholarly personalities. He emphasized Afshar’s significant contributions to Iranian studies, particularly his extensive research in bibliography, manuscript identification, and editing.

“Iraj Afshar dedicated his life to Iran’s cultural heritage. His scholarly works are invaluable resources for researchers and future generations,” Dehbashi stated.
