A literary session from Iraq to Arak was held in Arak
The literary session “From Iraq to Arak” was held in the city of Arak, attended by a group of writers, poets, and cultural and artistic figures. This session, organized to commemorate the literary stature of the late Dr. Abbas Salimi Namin, a prominent literary researcher and university professor, provided an opportunity to examine the works and thoughts of this enduring literary figure. At the ceremony, Dr. Mohammad Ali Eslami Nadoushan, one of the main speakers, referred to Dr. Salimi’s special place in contemporary Iranian literature and stated: “With his profound analyses, Dr. Salimi took effective steps in illuminating the hidden dimensions of our literary history.”
During this session, several poems by Dr. Salimi were recited by young poets, and sections of his book “Literary Criticism and Theories” were discussed and reviewed. This book, published in 1378 by Samt Publications, is recognized as one of the main references in the field of literature.
The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Markazi Province also emphasized in his speech the necessity of holding such sessions to promote reading culture and familiarize the younger generation with great literary and intellectual figures. He added: “Dr. Salimi’s literary legacy is a guiding light for researchers and students.” The session concluded with the presentation of a commendation plaque to the family of the late Dr. Salimi and the unveiling of his collection of articles.
