Nowruzi: Razavi International Poetry Festival to be held in Azerbaijani Turkish
Tehran (Mehrnews) – In a press conference held today, Mohammad Nowruzi, the Secretary of the Razavi International Poetry Festival, announced that the upcoming edition of the festival will specifically focus on poetry written in Azerbaijani Turkish. This initiative aims to foster cultural exchange and highlight the rich poetic traditions within the Turkic-speaking regions, particularly those with a strong connection to Imam Reza (AS).
Nowruzi emphasized the international nature of the festival, stating, “Our goal is to transcend geographical borders and bring together poets who express their devotion and artistic talent through Razavi poetry in Azerbaijani Turkish. This language holds a significant place in the cultural tapestry of many nations, and we believe it can be a powerful medium for conveying the spiritual messages of Imam Reza.”
The festival, which has previously explored various linguistic and thematic dimensions of Razavi poetry, will now dedicate a special section to Azerbaijani Turkish works. Organizers expect participation from poets across Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and other countries where this language is spoken.
Further details regarding submission deadlines, judging criteria, and the exact dates for the festival will be announced in the coming weeks. The Secretary reiterated the festival’s commitment to supporting new talents and providing a platform for established poets to share their creative interpretations of Razavi teachings. This specialized focus is anticipated to attract a diverse range of entries and strengthen cultural ties through literature.
