Unveiling of the book ‘The Sacred Defense of Alborzi Teachers’
A ceremony was held in Alborz province to unveil the book “The Sacred Defense of Alborzi Teachers”. This significant work chronicles the sacrifices and pivotal roles played by educators from Alborz province during the Iran-Iraq War, famously known as the Sacred Defense period.
The book, compiled over several years by Mr. Reza Ahmadi, presents a collection of memoirs, interviews, and authenticated documents that shed light on the invaluable contributions of these teachers. It specifically details the stories and experiences of 72 teachers who participated in or were affected by the war.
The unveiling event saw the attendance of numerous local officials, revered war veterans, and prominent cultural figures. During the ceremony, the Director-General of the Islamic Guidance and Culture Department of Alborz Province underscored the critical importance of preserving the noble values of the Sacred Defense. He emphasized the necessity of diligently documenting the contributions made by all segments of society, particularly the educated class, during that arduous period.
