Saadi Foundation in Iran launches global campaign to promote Persian language
TEHRAN, Oct. 3 – The Saadi Foundation in Iran announced the launch of a new global campaign aimed at promoting the Persian language and literature across the world. This initiative seeks to strengthen cultural ties and foster a deeper understanding of Iran’s rich literary heritage.
According to Gholamali Haddad-Adel, the head of the Saadi Foundation, the campaign will involve various online and offline activities, including virtual Persian language classes, literary workshops, and translation projects. He emphasized the importance of digital platforms in reaching a wider international audience.
The foundation plans to collaborate with cultural centers, universities, and Iranian diaspora communities in different countries to implement the program. The goal is to highlight the beauty and historical significance of the Persian language, which has been a vehicle for numerous renowned poets and scholars throughout history, most notably Saadi Shirazi and Hafez.
The initiative also aims to introduce contemporary Persian authors and their works to non-Persian speakers, encouraging new translations and academic studies. This effort is part of Iran’s broader cultural diplomacy efforts.
The campaign is expected to run throughout the upcoming year, with initial focus on countries with significant interest in Iranian culture and language.
