Appointment of Members to the Supreme Council of Publications and Research of Farabi Cinema Foundation

The Farabi Cinema Foundation has announced the appointment of new members to its Supreme Council of Publications and Research.

According to IBNA, this council is responsible for overseeing and guiding the foundation’s activities in publishing academic and research materials related to cinema, as well as promoting cinematic literature.

The newly appointed members, prominent figures in academia and the arts, include Dr. Ahmad Karimi, Ms. Sara Hosseini, and Mr. Reza Ahmadi. Their expertise spans various fields relevant to film studies, literary criticism, and cultural policy.

The head of the Farabi Cinema Foundation, Dr. Javad Jalali, emphasized the importance of robust research and publication initiatives to enrich Iranian cinema and foster intellectual discourse around it. He stated, “The council’s work will be crucial in documenting our cinematic heritage and charting future directions for its growth.”

The council’s mandate includes reviewing publication proposals, establishing research priorities, and ensuring the quality and academic rigor of all published works.
