Increase in the half-percent share of Taybad libraries from municipal revenues

Taybad (IRNA) – The head of the Taybad Public Libraries Department announced an increase in the half-percent share of municipal revenues allocated to the city’s public libraries.

Mohammad Hosseini, speaking to an IRNA reporter on Tuesday, stated that based on the law on the establishment and operation of public libraries, municipalities are required to allocate 0.5% of their total revenues and incomes to the public libraries, and this share has increased in Taybad.

He added that the allocated funds are crucial for improving library services, purchasing new books, maintaining facilities, and organizing cultural programs to attract more readers.

Hosseini emphasized that the collaboration between public libraries and municipalities is vital for promoting a culture of reading and supporting intellectual development in the community. He noted that the recent increase reflects a growing commitment from local authorities to cultural initiatives.

Currently, Taybad has several public libraries serving various age groups and interests, and efforts are underway to expand their reach and resources.
