Book Exhibition Held in Yazd After Several Years; “Hamsafar” Unveiled
The city of Yazd is currently hosting its first book exhibition in several years, marking a significant cultural event for the region after a prolonged hiatus. The exhibition, which opened its doors to a large crowd of bibliophiles and cultural enthusiasts, features a wide array of new publications and classic titles from various Iranian publishers.
A highlight of the opening ceremony was the official unveiling of the new book, “Hamsafar” (Companion), by a local author. The book, whose genre spans historical fiction, was met with enthusiastic reception from attendees and critics alike, promising to be a notable addition to contemporary Persian literature.
Reinvigorating Literary Culture
Organizers expressed their delight at the turnout, emphasizing the exhibition’s role in reinvigorating the literary culture of Yazd. “This event is more than just a marketplace for books; it’s a celebration of knowledge, stories, and the enduring power of reading,” said the cultural director of Yazd Province, Mr. Mohammad Reza Ganji.
The exhibition will run for ten days, offering various literary programs, author signings, and discussion panels, providing a platform for readers to connect with writers and explore new literary horizons. The successful relaunch is anticipated to pave the way for regular book fairs in the city.
