Fifth Children’s Poetry Festival in Sahneh Unveils Five New Works

The fifth Children’s Poetry Festival in Sahneh, Kermanshah, recently concluded with the unveiling of five new poetry collections for children. Mohammad-Ali Qaderi, the director of the festival, stated that these new works aim to enrich children’s literature and encourage reading among young audiences.

The festival also featured workshops on poetry writing and illustration, attended by prominent poets and illustrators. A panel discussion highlighted the importance of promoting indigenous stories and themes in children’s books. The five unveiled books are:

  • “Parvaz-e Parastooha” (Flight of the Swallows) by Zahra Karimi
  • “Rangin Kaman-e Ghashang-e Man” (My Beautiful Rainbow) by Alireza Ahmadi
  • “Qesseh-ye Abr va Baran” (The Story of the Cloud and Rain), illustrated by Maryam Hosseini
  • “Delneveshteha-ye Koochak” (Small Writings of the Heart) by a group of young poets
  • “Bazicha-ye Shab-e Maa” (Our Night’s Plaything) by Narges Mohammadi, published by Kanoon Parvaresh Fekri

The festival received widespread acclaim for its role in fostering creativity and literacy among children.
