Selected Iranian modern poetry in English released

The book ‘Modern Poetry of Iran’ featuring the English translations of works by the Iranian contemporary poets is released by Rupa Publications in India.
According to the correspondent quoting from the public relations office of Art Center of the Islamic Propagation Organization, director of the tr anslation department of this center Sa’eedeh Hossein-Jani said Rupa Publications is one of the major special publishers of literature in India which sells its products on Amazon. ‘Modern Poetry of Iran’ was translated from Persian into English by Aziz Mahdi (Ph.D.) and released by Rupa Publications with a print run of 10000 copies.
The book features works by 90 Iranian poets as well as a brief biography about them. Nima Yooshij, Parvin E’tesami, Shahryar, Rahi Mo’ayeri, Hamidi Shirazi, Fereidoun Tavaloli, Emad Khorasani, Ahmad Shamlou, Hamid Sabzevari, Moshfeq Kashani, Maftoun Amini, Sohrab Sepehri, Siavash Kasra’ie, Fereydoun Moshiri, Bijan Jalali, Nader Naderpour, Tahereh Saffarzadeh, Sepideh Kashani, Shafiee Kadkani, Hamid Mossadegh, Ahmad Reza Ahmadi, Mohammad Ali Sepanlou, Karim Rajabzadeh, Shams Langroodi, Abbas Safari, Ali Salehi, Seyyed Hassan Hosseini, Ahmad Azizi, Soheil Mahmoudi , and Garous Abd al-Malekiyan are among the poets introduced in this collection.
